Since moving to Kelowna, I have learnt a lot about which places I find myself having the most fun. Today I will be sharing which places are my favorite when it comes to eating out, exercise, and all kinds of recreation! Lucky you!

My Favorite Restaurant: Cantina del Centro

If you are a fan of Mexican cuisine, or more specifically traditional margaritas! This is the place for you. Located in the heart of Kelowna on Bernard Ave, this establishment has some amazing customizable taco options and being close to the water always provides a great view if you are eating outside! The staff are always friendly and the cleaning standards are top notch. If you are visiting or just relocated to Kelowna, I highly recommend you give this place a try! (Thank me later)

Best Hike in Town: Knox Mountain

Just did this hike right before writing! Knox mountain is located just north of Kelowna’s downtown core. It boasts an expansive trail system that can satisfy hikers of all skill levels. The view of the city at the top is incredible and you will catch the best sunsets as a large portion of the view faces south-west. This is a popular hike among locals so be sure to come early or later in the day as parking is very limited!

Best Recreation: Parkinson Recreation Park

My Fiancé and I are huge fans of this park. We started going when she was learning tennis this last summer and I am amazed with how much there is to do here. Hell, they even have outdoor gym equipment if you don’t want to pay for a gym membership! There are huge courts with plenty of room for any tennis or pickle ball enthusiasts. A large field for all kinds of activities and also a beautiful walking trail that takes you over the creek which runs through the center of it all. During Kelowna’s hot summers, this is a great place to be.

I hope these ideas can help you out if you are ever bored in Kelowna! If so, reach out to me and let me know your thoughts on these places.

Until next time! – Brady.
